Lower grade PVC and/or chlorosulfonated polyethylene based fabrics have little or no UV protection which causes them to turn faded or nasty colors when exposed to normal outdoor lighting conditions. The poly-urethane fabrics used in all Inflatable Boats utilize the best UV protection available, and resist discoloration in sunlight.
